Florence Marie (Downs) Franchetti

Florence “Marie” Franchetti of Abingdon, MD, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2024. She was 76.

Marie was born on January 9, 1948, in Texas, MD, the daughter of James T. Downs and Helen Kendall and stepdaughter to Jack Kendall. Marie grew up in the Cockeysville and Timonium, MD areas and also lived in White Hall, Bel Air and Forest Hill, MD. She worked at Westinghouse as a Computer Operator and Component Inspector before dipping her hand in the Real Estate world.

She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, dancing, listening to music and participating in community theatre with her children. She will be remembered as an awesome and incredible Mother, and Gram.

She is survived by her children, Michael D. Franchetti, Marisa Guido, and grandchildren Gian Guido and Carmela Guido, as well as her brother, Dennis D. Downs.
